Dr. Andrea Perry enjoys working with children, adolescents and families. She attended Carl Albert State University, where she earned her Associate of Arts in Secondary Education. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Management from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She began her career working for a non-profit organization with Mutual Self-Help Housing where she provided housing assistance to families in Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming. After working with families, Dr. Perry decided to pursue her passion for helping and mentoring others. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce. She has worked in a variety of counseling settings, including a psychiatric hospital, private practice, the Texas A&M University Community Counseling & Psychology Clinic, the Texas A&M University Counseling Center, Paris Junior College counseling department, and as an assistant professor for Texas A&M University- Commerce. She has earned her Doctorate degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from Texas A&M University-Commerce. She has presented on topics related to dealing with marriage and the family, trauma, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention.
